Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was a pretty fun day for all of my siblings... they got to go trick-or-treating at the zoo! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Here we are, exactly a week before Halloween, and I don't have a costume. It's the very first time that this has happened. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
We're halfway through October now, which means that we only have a little more than two weeks until one of the sweetest holidays of the year: Halloween. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Tonight's post is dedicated to all of the amazing moms out there who work 24/7 to make the world a better place for their kids! Happy Mother's Day everyone! A very special shoutout to my own mom, who is without a doubt one of the most incredible people I know! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
We're on our way back to New York because, unfortunately, spring break is coming to an end. We had Passover dinner at a restaurant in Georgia, and I don't know where we'll be for Easter dinner tomorrow. It's weird because I don't remember a time when we were ever not home for a holiday meal. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
One of the best things about doing foster care has been the fact that we always have little kids in the house. Unlike most families, who have children and then those children grow up, in our family we have had children who grow up, children who leave, children who stay and grow up, children who leave again... my siblings and I have such different age differences because my parents didn't choose when to have another child. We just sat back and waited until another child came to us. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope that you've all had an enjoyable day with loved ones, whether they be your significant other, children, siblings, or parents! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
It's finally the end of the week but there's no slowing down for me anytime soon. I need to work on school-related projects all weekend, and I don't even get a day off on Monday. Instead, I have to be up at my campus at 8:00am and be part of a full day workshop until 3:00pm. Sheesh! At least I can sleep past 6:30am tomorrow! I'm so tired that I feel like I can just collapse at any minute! Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was certainly a day full of preparations. Between finishing up all of the cupcakes for everyone's Valentine's parties and getting ready to be observed by my supervisor for the first time in student teaching tomorrow, I've been keeping busy all day. Plus, my mom had her hands full tonight trying to get my little sisters to write out their Valentine's cards (because yes, don't judge, we're one of those houses that unfortunately leaves a lot to the last minute... you know that you do it too!). |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
