Big Sister through Foster Care & Adoption
Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
I did it! I'm a college graduate! I can't believe that four years of hard work have finally paid off and I'm an official graduate now!
I never had anything written about what college I went to because you just never want too much personal information online... Now that I've graduated, however, I am so proud to say that I have a Bachelor's of Science from the State University of New York at New Paltz! New Paltz has been a wonderful place for me to learn and grow, and I am thrilled to now be part of their alumni association.
It would have been really great to have my whole family there to support me, but I was very lucky to have my amazing parents and four of my wonderful siblings in the crowd today. It meant so much to have my own cheering section there for the moment when my name was announced. I have had so much love and support from my family over the course of my education, and I couldn't have done anything without them!
Now it's time to focus on applying to jobs in Florida and preparing for our big move. My childhood has come to a close now, and it's time to get ready for my new adult life... I'm glad I still have a few months before fully making that transition!
Congrats to everyone in the Class of 2015 from all schools!! It's a huge accomplishment to graduate college!

My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
