Life as a Writer, Disney World Cast Member, and
Big Sister through Foster Care & Adoption
Welcome back to Taylor Talks! For every crazy, chaotic, mixed-up day of work that I experience, I am lucky enough to experience a fun-filled, supercalifragilisticexpialidocius kind of a day! Today, if you couldn't tell, was one of the latter kind of days. Today was just, I don't know, magical in a sense. Nothing incredibly out of the ordinary happened, and of course there were times throughout the day that were busy and there was a lot happening at once, but overall the day was just amazing. Even when I got swamped and it was difficult to catch up on what I was doing, I was still in such a fantastic mood.
I was able to meet a new member of our team today, who was very nice, and I even got to help teach her a little. I had some time to talk with fellow Cast Members while working, which is always a pleasant way to spend the day. But the very best part of the day, of course, had to be the interaction that I had with Guests today. Everyone seem to be in such a good mood today. Maybe it was because the rain held off, or maybe it was just because they were happy to be in Disney, but either way, the vast majority of Guests were so talkative and interested in having friendly conversation with Cast Members. There were four specific instances throughout the day that really stuck with me...
I'm so glad that I work in a place where people are so genuinely happy and I get to have such great conversations throughout the day! Your continued support means the world to me. From foster care to novels, and family to work experiences, I look forward to sharing more of my life with you each day. Don't hesitate to share your own stories with me or ask me questions about my life. Please don't forget to like and share my Facebook author page as well! I’d greatly appreciate it if you would share this blog with friends and family through your favorite social media sites. My family has been doing foster care since I was three years old. I'm the only biological child in my family, though I now have five permanent siblings. Having nineteen siblings over the course of my lifetime has been an incredible experience, and I'm hoping that by sharing some of the ups and downs of being the only bio kid in a foster family, other foster families or people looking into doing foster care will be able to learn a bit of what life can be like. I also like to share what life is like on my journey to becoming a published author, as well as where my schooling and career choice are taking me.
