Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Since I was just talking about my brother’s adoption the other day, I thought that I would share a writing that I did about him to give a better understanding of who he is. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today, I wanted to share a special writing that I did about my mom. I’ve been sharing these short paragraphs that I’ve written about each of my family members little by little, because I’m hoping that they can help people understand how great my family really is. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Last month, I shared a post in which I talked about the header at the top of my Twitter page (@TayTayK02). My header consists of a paragraph that I wrote about myself in an exercise for my creative writing class in my sophomore year of college. I wrote a paragraph about each of my family members, and today, I thought I would share what I wrote about my dad. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
If any of my blog readers follow me on Twitter (@TayTayK02), then you’ve probably seen the paragraph that I have at the top of my page. I thought I would share that here tonight, and explain a little about it. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
Today was a pretty long day. From going out early to watch my little sisters at gymnastics, to going swimming at the house of family friends, I’m wiped out after the weekend and today’s events. I’ll keep my post short and sweet tonight since I’m too tired to think of a big topic to write about. Welcome back to Taylor Talks!
The other day, I wrote about how diverse a foster or adoptive family can be. Today, I thought I would elaborate on what my family is like. I want people to know that it’s okay to look completely different than the rest of your family members; it makes you unique and each person is special in their own right. Welcome to Taylor Talks! My name is Taylor Faith Krigsman, and I'm very excited to be starting this new blog.
First, I'd like to introduce myself. You can certainly get a quick synopsis of who I am on the "About Taylor" page, but here's a little more information... I'm twenty years old, my favorite color is purple (as if you couldn't tell!), and I'm from a small town in NY. I will be starting my senior year of college next month. I major in Early Childhood/Childhood Education with a concentration in English. I also minor in Deaf Studies. I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember, and look forward to continuing on to get my Master's in Special Education. I also look forward to achieving my goal of becoming a published author someday. I currently run a business called Taylor's Tales, in which I write personalized children's books. Between writing these stories and now starting this blog, I'm hoping that I will gain some writing experience that can help me in writing future books. |
AboutMy family started doing foster care when I was three years old. We took in nineteen children over the course of eighteen years, with our last placement leaving in December 2014. I'm the only biological child in my family, though my parents adopted five of my siblings.
I love to share my perspective on the foster care system and share how my unique upbringing shaped my life. I'm also a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and lover of all things Disney! My career allows me the opportunity to find a little bit of Magic in life every day. I enjoy sharing my journey as a writer as well. Find my children's books on Amazon and keep following my blog for updates on future books that I'll be releasing! Archives
